I’m so sorry to hear of Ms. Somers death. She was a talented, funny actor. I have wonderful memories of her work and will cherish her memory. Sending Love, Light and Peace to her husband, Alan and all her family and friends.
How do I begin to express the “friendship” I felt for her?? When I was 27 I became a mom for the first time. I struggled with this new role and exploring this new identity. I sacrificed my job, my car and budgeting so I could stay home and raise my precious girl. It was hard and lonely at times and very isolated. But then I “met” Suzanne !!!! She was all over the home shopping network sharing all of her knowledge and inventions. I immediately felt a connection. She wasn’t just a celebrity selling something. She was very invested in sharing her ideas and did with a genuine desire to help people! She was an instant touch stone for me and became a friend to me as I navigated this very different world I was living in!I have been a loyal fan ever since. She was so effervescent. So sexy and direct. And one heck of a wise cookie! She will always remain my most adored celebrity and I am forever grateful for all that she was in my life! There is a very big whole in a lot of people’s hearts now but she loves fiercely and do it all her way and I am better for having “known her”. Hold each other tight Somers family. I have no doubt she is wrapped around everything and every person she was blessed enough to call family!!! I will love you forever Suzanne! Thank you for giving all you did. RIP
Suzanne Somers was not an actress anymore. She had become something far greater and more extraordinary. Suzanne was not even just an incredible and accomplished author, even though she had multiple best-selling books to her name. Suzanne was simply one of the most intelligent and extraordinary people I knew of. She was a teacher and she cared more about health, information, and helping others stay healthy more than just about anyone I knew of.
She changed my life and millions of others’ lives. She was one of the first people to tell us that fat wasn’t our enemy, but it was really sugar, which was probably 35 years ago before the sugar and carb fad began. Suzanne studied and read and became a passionate expert on health.
But she couldn’t beat cancer, damn did she try, she tried more than anyone I think, which I think she would today blame on the birth control pill which she had been on she often regretted for decades. But I can not speak for her. I know she beat her cancer decades ago and she fought it for so long with dignity and wisdom. I know she didn’t allow chemotherapy to degrade her. That wasn’t her way.
Suzanne once gave a lecture called the Breakthrough Tour. It was even released in theatres. At the time I was in LA, I invited my yoga students to the movies and we watched her give one of the most inspiring and groundbreaking lectures on health I ever heard. She knew it all. I am sad for the light she gave, which is now out of our world. I know she wanted to be alive until 120 with her dear Alan and family.
Suzanne, thank you for changing my life and so many others. You were absolutely irreplaceable. I know now you are with your beautiful mother who you loved. I know you were truly a righteous soul as today is the new moon and your birthday is tomorrow. Signs of a truly special soul who completed her soul’s work. Godbless your soul and may you be in utter joy with your mother in the Garden of Eden. Alan, Bruce, Caroline, children, ….. I can only cry with you.
Our dear teacher and leader. We are in shock. You cured yourself with the natural way 20 years ago and you were alive for so long because of your wisdom. Sometimes it is not about what we do but Gods plan. We are so sorry to hear this. Suzanne was a leader in health and revealing the truth. The truth doesn’t change. Chemicals and toxins cause illnesses and chemo is a dismal failure. She has taught us so much and the movement will continue. Let us all continue her amazing legacy and empire for our own self interest and health. We will continue to hear her voice and the wisdom she shared from the doctors who got it. We will continue to use her wonderful products and implement the valuable information she gave us. We will in her honor live to 120 and beyond. We love you Suzanne. We can now only join Alan and Bruce and Caroline and children in tears. We mourn.
I’m so very sorry to her son & husband Suzanne was a fantastic woman & actress she will be missed very much
We all felt like we knew Suzanne and Alan personally, with all of the wonderful and personal product videos. They were so much fun and always made us laugh. The lives Suzanne touched are endless, and she will be a legacy for womens’ health.
